Introduction

Truemed lets your customers use their pre-tax HSA/FSA dollars to pay for eligible health and wellness purchases. Truemed handles eligibility, compliance, and Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) generation for you—so you can offer tax-free spending without becoming an expert in benefits administration.

There are two distinct flows, and the integration you choose depends on which one you’re enabling:

  • Pay at checkout — Customers select Truemed as a payment method and pay directly with their HSA/FSA card during your normal checkout. This is what the integrations below implement.
  • Post-checkout reimbursement — Customers pay as usual with a regular card, and Truemed issues a qualified LMN and itemized receipt they submit to their HSA/FSA administrator to get reimbursed.
